Recital Series 2: Costume Delivery and Care

3/28/2017

Many recital costumes will be delivered the week following spring break! Instructors will ensure the proper fit for each student before sending them home. While it is exciting to bring home a beautiful costume, we need your help to make sure the costume is in tip-top shape for pictures and recital day! Here are some instructions on how to care for your costume once it has been taken home:
  • Take costumes out of the bag and hang them up. Tutus may need to be hung in the bathroom before the recital to be steamed.
  • If your costume came home in a labeled bag, keep the bag for recital day to bring your personal items to the performance. The label will also help the recital staff know what class your child is in and where their dressing area will be.
  •  Do not let your child play dress up in their costume before the recital! They may not wear them to class until after the performance.
  •  Costumes can not be replaced if they are damaged.
  •  Save your recital tights for pictures and the show (these will be delivered later in the spring). If you need to exchange your size of tights, we will be happy to do so at the office.
  •  It is best for costumes to be stored in a safe place where there is no temptation to play with them.

We must guide our children with all our might and we should be careful because there might be effects that may not be good for their well being. We need to look after them from time to time. We can be great parents and we can help these children be the better version of themselves if we will just be mindful of the actions that they are doing. It will be a great journey for all of us to understand and experience. I will share the wonderful blog that is posted here.
