Love to perform? Join the DAA Performance Company for a year full of community performance
opportunities! In the past our performance company dancers have danced at Festival of Trees,
Harlem Globetrotters, BSU half times, Meridian Block Party, Meridian Christmas Tree Lighting,
various local parades and more! Dancers will participate in performances throughout the year across
the Treasure Valley!

Looking to take your dancing to the next level? Our award winning competitive company is growing!
Our competitive company dancers train in many styles of dance and show off their skills at competitions and local
performances. Dancers rehearse and train all year and receive feedback and scores from adjudicators at competitions
throughout the spring. Competitions are great opportunities to perform in an educational setting focused on helping our
dancers grow on and off the stage.
Our Pre-Professional company will attend all local competitions along with traveling out of state to compete and participate
in conventions taught by master instructors and choreographers. This is truly the next step for the serious dancer!

Performance Company Auditions
Thursday, May 30th Ages 7- Up 4:30-6:00pm Ages 5 & 6 welcome via invitation. Parents can express interest in the office. $50 audition fee* Mandatory Parent Info Meeting: Friday, May 10th @ 5:00pm Dancers should come in fitted all black dance wear with hair pulled back. Dancers will participate in a short warm up, across the floor exercises and learn 1-2 short combinations to perform in groups for a panel of judges. Please arrive 15 minutes early to stretch, fill out paperwork and be measured for costumes. Dancers may be asked to stay for a second audition. *50 % of audition fee will go toward dancer's account, or will be credited to dancers not invited to participate Performance Companies: |
Competitive Company Auditions:
Tuesday, May 28th Ages 8-11 4:30-6pm ages 12-17 6-9pm $50 audition fee* Mandatory Parent Info Meeting: Friday, May 10th Junior Comp Families 6:00pm New Families 7:15pm Returning families 8:15pm Dancers should come in fitted all black dance wear with hair pulled back. Dancers should arrive warm and expect to learn 2 combinations to perform in front of judges. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to stretch, fill out paperwork and be measured for costumes. Dancers may be asked to stay for a second audition. *50% of audition fee will go toward dancer's account, or will be credited to dancers that are not invited to participate Competitive Companies: |

Junior Competitive Company
ages 8-11 2 summer intensives Choreography throughout summer (based on availability) Boot camp week in August 1 jazz, 1 lyrical, 1 ballet class weekly Sept-May 1 company class weekly Sept-May 4 local competitions Option for solos, duos, trios Competitive Company ages 9-17 3 summer intensives Choreography during summer class schedule Boot camp week in August 1 jazz, 1 lyrical, 1 ballet class each week Sept.-May 4 local competitions 45 minute rehearsal biweekly per dance Sept.-May *dancers cast in contemporary or hip hop routines will need to take technique classes in the same style Option to travel to conventions with Pre-Pro Company, will not compete Once casting is complete, dancers can choose which numbers they would like to participate in Pre-Professional Company Ages 9-17 after 1 year on Competitive Company 4 summer intensives Choreography during summer class schedule Boot camp week in August 1 jazz, 1 lyrical, 2 ballet classes each week Sept.-May 4 local competitions 2 out of state convention/competitions 45 minute rehearsal biweekly per dance Sept.-May *dancers cast in contemporary or hip hop routines will need to take technique classes in the same style Once casting is complete, dancers can choose which numbers they would like to participate in |
