Happy New Year from Dance Arts Academy!
I hope you are having a great holiday break! Remember that dance classes resume the week of January 7th and all Nutcracker costumes can be turned in when you come to class that week.
Costume deadlines approaching
Spring recital costumes will be ordered next week! If you are planning to make any changes to your dance schedule- please let us know ASAP. Any changes (adding/dropping/changing classes) made after January 7th may result in costume charges that you will not use. Costume companies do not allow cancellations or returns on costumes once they have been ordered since they are made to order and can take up to four months to receive.
Last chance for new registrations
Since costumes are in process of being ordered, it is also the last chance for this season for new registrations in most dance classes. Registration will be closed as of February 1st. If you, or a friend are interested in joining a class- don't delay! We would love to have you start the week of January 7th!
New sweatshirts now available to order
Have you seen out new logo? It has made its debut on the new sweatshirts now on display in the lobby. If you would like to order one of the hoodies there is a sign up sheet at the office. They are $32 and we will turn in the order on January 14th.
The holiday season is upon us! I have a few reminders and updates for you!
Our Nutcracker performance is coming up quick on December 22nd at 4:00 in the Mountain View High School Auditorium. We still have slots for a few more volunteers, so if you are interested, you can sign up at the office. We will also be needing an over-sized Christmas tree for the show, so if anyone has any connections on getting a nice, large tree for us that we only need for one day- please let Tina or Dotty know!
The lost and found box was over-flowing again! Please check to see if you may have any items that were left behind. Anything left unclaimed will be donated December 8th.
Please remember that dance shoes are only to be worn in the studio- DO NOT wear your dance shoes outside (including hip hop sneakers)! This damages our dance floors and wears out your shoes faster.
Hip Hop dancers- please wear clothing that is suitable for dancing in- no jeans!
Classes are currently being measured for recital costumes which will be ordered the first week of January over Christmas break). If you anticipate any changes in your dance schedule, please let Tina know. Once costumes are ordered, they cannot be returned or cancelled.
